El Caminito del Rey

El Caminito del Rey is a walkway, pinned along the steep walls of a narrow gorge in El Chorro, near Ardales in the province of Málaga, Spain. The walkway had fallen into disrepair and was partially closed for over a decade. The walkway is 1 metre (3 ft) in width, and rises over 100 metres (330 ft) above the river below.

The Green Dome…

The green dome beyond the waters…

“There is room on the stage for one  beast and one alone. All others are destined for a night that is eternal and without name. One by one they will step down into the darkness before the foot lamps. Bears that dance, and bears that dont (sic).”

A squirrel preparing for Winter

Oak tree, squirrel and church

One of those moments that could have passed unnoticed, walking down the path I happen to turn to my left and I saw a brief glance of  Winter in that old oak tree that had shed its leaves, the squirrel and the church spire in the distance.
